Halloween: Let's Do The Time Warp Again!!!

While for many Halloween means bobbing for apples and trick-or-treating; for the die hards, Halloween is synonymous with the Time Warp.

It's that time of the year again, folks! Time to slip on your fishnet stockings and black garters, don your raciest corset, your highest stilettos and featheriest boa and head on over to Encinitas for the midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Who can forget the ultimate sweet transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter (played by Tim Curry), the dashing Brad Majors (played by Barry Bostwick) and the impressionable Janet Weiss (played by Susan Sarandon)? This movie is a cultural phenomenon, a cult classic.

In the words of the Doctor himself: So come on up and see what's on the slab. I see you shiver with antici.....pation.

Rocky Horror Picture Show is playing at the La Paloma Theatre Friday at Midnight, with a special screening on Halloween (October 31st) at 9:00 pm and Midnight.

The Perfect Gaslamp Quarter Parking Spot

In the heart of San Diego’s Downtown area lies the Gaslamp Quarter. Roughly 8 blocks long (from Broadway to Harbor) and 2 blocks wide (from Fourth to Sixth Avenue), it is home to several of San Diego’s most popular bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Petco Park and the San Diego Convention Center lie at the foot of the Gaslamp Quarter, while Horton Plaza sits adjacent to it.

Unfortunately, the hustle and bustle of a vibrant downtown core brings with it the inevitable headache or finding the perfect parking spot. Several parking options are available, including metered street parking, office buildings and makeshift lots. You can even print out a map if you want - a sort of cheat sheet to finding parking in and around the Gaslamp Quarter.
